Sereno is one of the collections I feel most satisfied with. I wanted to make shelves that did not depend on what you placed on them. They had to feel complete even when they were empty.

That decision made them surprisingly easy to live with. You can leave them alone, fill them with books, add a few objects, or change everything later. They adapt without disappearing.

For me, Sereno sits somewhere between art and design. It holds things, but it also asks to be looked at. Sometimes decoration is useful. Sometimes usefulness becomes contemplative.
