Introducing: The 'Fishes' Collection

Words by Joel Escalona

When I first laid eyes on Constantin Brancusi's renowned Fish sculpture, something resonated within me. A piece of art, so serene, so tranquil, yet charged with life, it was as though I could see the very currents of the ocean breathing within the stone.

That fascination led me to conceive the Fishes Coffee Tables series, a tribute, you might say, to Brancusi's way of tapping into the elemental. To breathe life into inanimate matter – that's what it's all about.

These tables aren't mere furniture. They are the flow, the rhythm of the underwater world, frozen in solid wood.

Can you feel the undulation of the water as you run your fingers over the smooth curves? Can you sense the depth of the ocean in those rounded forms, as soft and natural as the waves themselves?

I spent countless hours sketching, my hands guided by Brancusi's masterful simplicity. Every curve, every detail meticulously shaped, not just in natural finish oak but also black-tinted wood – a play of light and shadow that brings the tables to life.

But it's not just about recreating the Fish.
No,
it's about embracing its essence.

Those tables, they invite you into a world of elegance, a world where stillness speaks, where every grain of wood tells a story of nature, of existence.

What we created with the Fishes Coffee Tables collection and NONO is more than just home decor. It's a journey into an aesthetic philosophy, a dance with nature's beauty. Whether in the living room or the office, these tables are companions in thought, muses that provoke contemplation.

They're not just pieces of art or furniture; they're an experience, a living tribute to the art that inspired them. The Fishes Coffee Tables are a testament to simplicity's power, to the beauty that lies in the stillness of form, and to the endless possibilities of creative expression.
